How we work

From napkin sketch to launch day

A transparent five-stage pipeline with fixed milestones, weekly builds, and playable checkpoints so you always know exactly where your game stands.

  1. 01

    Discovery & pitch

We workshop the core loop, target platforms, and audience, then deliver a one-page pitch, scope, and fixed milestone budget.

    1–2 weeks
  2. 02

    Prototype & vertical slice

A playable vertical slice proves the fun before full production — real controls, one polished level, and the art direction locked in.

    4–6 weeks
  3. 03

    Full production

Content, systems, and audio come together in two-week sprints. You get a fresh build every Friday and a shared roadmap you can steer.

    4–14 months
  4. 04

    Playtest & polish

Structured playtests with real players, performance passes on every target device, and a certification-ready bug burn-down.

    4–8 weeks

Velocity turned our rough prototype into a Switch launch in nine months. The Friday builds meant we never lost sight of the game and the port ran flawlessly on day one.
Marcus T. · Collingwood, VIC · March 2026
Their vertical slice sold our funding round for us. Investors could actually play the pitch. Honest scoping and no scope creep — rare in this industry.
Priya S. · Carlton, VIC · November 2025
We brought them on for live-ops and retention jumped 22% in a quarter. The seasonal content calendar keeps our players talking every single month.

Good to know

Questions, answered

The things founders and producers ask us most before starting a project.

Projects & pricing

Original titles start at A$85,000 for a focused release and scale with scope, platforms, and content volume. We always break the budget into fixed milestones so you can pause, review, and approve spend at each stage rather than committing to one large number up front.

Most projects run on fixed-milestone pricing agreed after the discovery phase, which keeps budgets predictable. Co-development and live-ops engagements can run on a monthly retainer instead when you need an ongoing, flexible crew.

You do. For client projects, all game code, art, and design assets transfer to you on final payment. We only retain the right to show finished work in our portfolio unless you ask us to keep it confidential.

Process & collaboration

We ship in both Unreal Engine and Unity depending on the project, and release across PC (Steam), Nintendo Switch, PlayStation, Xbox, iOS, and Android. During discovery we recommend the engine and platforms that best fit your game and budget.

Yes. Co-development is a big part of what we do. We audit your current build and pipeline first, then plug in engineers, artists, or designers to hit your deadline without disrupting your existing team.

Absolutely. We’re based in Fitzroy but collaborate remotely with studios and publishers across Australia and overseas. Weekly builds, shared roadmaps, and regular video reviews keep everyone aligned no matter the timezone.
